French international artist, graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and started working on projects with photographs and design before focusing on exhibitions and events. His passion of forms and shapes is the platform of his creations. Focused around geometry and optical illusion research as enhanced by his many achievements using the principle of anamorphosis. He use the camera as a ruler and the lens as a compass to transform the flat reality of a simple picture into a three dimensional extraordinary installation.
As a scenographer, Iliou brings his creative and innovative minds to art direct many high-end events, window and façade design, and packaging design. His work has been archived across the world from Paris, Rome, Milan and New York to Dubai, Beijing, Shanghai and Tokyo. Moreover, his drawings have been transformed as silk scarf that appeared in the Bulgari textile collection since two seasons.
Since 2008 he started to be in charge of Bulgari Retrospective exhibition installations around the world, from the “Palazzo delle Esposizioni” in Rome in 2009, “The Grand Palais” in Paris in 2010, to the “National Museum” in Beijing in 2011 and the “Aurora Museum” in Shanghai in 2012. His creation of the giant “black diamond”, which beneath the Grand Palais’s glass dome became one of the exhibition highlights in addition to the Romaine jewelries.
In 2010, he designed the exhibition Flora Cult in Rome and made really interesting window design for the shop Re-f-use of Ilaria Venturini Fendi. From 2004 to 2009 he worked alongside Massimo Quendolo by carrying out exhibition to the French Cinematheque, the Institut du Monde Arabe, the Musée Guimet, the Musée du Quai Branly and the National Museum of Bahrain.
